After you get married everyone asks what your favorite part of the wedding was. My favorite part was obviously my husband, but my next favorite was Carna Lapping. She took away all of my worries away. Carna met with us a couple months before the wedding and made sure she understood every detail. I knew that Carna would take care of everything and that the wedding would be exactly what we wanted. On the day of the wedding I had zero stress because I knew that Carna was on top of it. V.I.E. is experienced, and even found us the best DJ at the last minute. Mother and Father of the bride: My daughter's wedding was at Holy Names Academy and the reception was at the Knights of Columbus Hall. There were about 240 guests, and it was a wonderful and relaxing day for me, the mother of the bride. This was due to the fabulous job that Carna Lapping and the Very Important Events crew did. All seemed to go smoothly, and when there was a mistake by the caterer, V.I.E. took care of it so quickly and quietly that most were unaware of what had happened. Carna took care of all the details a coordinator should and thought of many we didn't, like lunches for the bridal party while we changed.

I would definitely rehire Very Important Events if I host another event. The week before the wedding my daughter, the bride, said that she could relax now. I asked her how that was possible, and she answered that Carna was now in charge and would take care of everything. And she did!

Carna Lapping was amazing! She made certain that everything we wanted or needed was executed precisely to our specifications. From the beginning, she aimed to clearly understand our expectations. Having Very Important Events as a part of our big day, and the weeks leading up to it, was one of the best decisions we made. During the planning stages, Carna Lapping helped us narrow down the choices and turn our ideas into reality. As we got closer, she was a huge help in keeping us on task and on schedule. She worked with all the vendors to finalize those last minute “issues” and made many calls to make sure everything was in order. V.I.E. brought experience and expertise and suggested things that weren’t even on our radar. On the day of the wedding itself, everything was perfect! Larry and I had a limited amount of time prior to the start of his deployment to plan as many aspects of our wedding as possible. Within about a three week period of time after agreeing to work with Very Important Events, all of our vendors were selected and most major decisions agreed upon. Carna Lapping arranged all vendor meetings, told us when and where to be - which eliminated the pressure of searching for vendors and arranging appointments ourselves. Then came all of the little decisions to make that we had never thought about. Carna was either available to meet in person or answer questions via email and telephone. Not only did Carna construct our day-of timeline, she made sure all of our vendors and wedding party were on the same page. I was more than happy to let V.I.E. take care of all the day-of aspects which allowed us time to enjoy our guests and one another. I believe it's important to work with a coordinator who has industry connections and is familiar with the details that it takes to plan a wedding. We were fortunate V.I.E. has such experience and was available to explain and walk us through all aspects of the planning.

What do you do when you have procrastinated putting together a 50th birthday party for your husband? With less than two months to go and a packed schedule, I was panicked! One phone call to Very Important Events and Carna Lapping immediately understood what I was looking for. She came up with 3 excellent venues to choose from, all reasonably priced for a Saturday night in July in Seattle. V.I.E. guided me through all of the details and was always available for questions. The decisions came easily and what seemed overwhelming at first smoothly became a reality. Carna had fabulous ideas for using pictures of my husband in the venue and for centerpieces. Everything looked fabulous when my husband walked in, and Carna took care of all the details during the evening so I could relax, dance and enjoy being with the guests. She even made sure that my daughter who had just had major knee surgery 5 days before was comfortable. My expectations were definitely exceeded. I have three daughters and when they are getting married, I know we will be calling Carna at Very Important Events!

Carna Lapping was wonderful to work with - she anticpated everything we could have ever needed or wanted to make our wedding day special. It was great to work with her at various times over the summer, and the last week that she took over the planning was the best move - it really made our week leading up to the wedding much less stressful and enjoyable. I wasn’t actually looking for a wedding coordinator, but when I was introduced to Carna Lapping at the Seattle Wedding Show, the ease and grace in which she presented herself impressed me, and her laid-back manner made my fiancé comfortable (or as comfortable as a groom can be when it comes to weddings). From our first meeting with Carna, I knew that I wanted her to help make my wedding day the flawless, perfect event that I had been envisioning.

Even though I had opted to do most of the planning myself, V.I.E. was always available to answer any questions we had, and guide us in the right direction. As we got closer to the wedding, Carna took my visions and worked out the small details that were left to create a truly beautiful wedding day. From the instant Carna took charge at our rehearsal, I was able to relax and really appreciate the moments. Our wedding party and Pastor were very impressed with her professionalism. She made sure everyone knew exactly where to be and when.

Every part of our wedding day flowed smoothly under Carna's watchful eye- she anticipated needs and swiftly remedied any problem that arose so that I didn’t have to worry or even know about it until after the fact. Our vendors all commented afterwards how organized and truly professional Very Important Events was, and our guests even noted what a wonderful job V.I.E. had done orchestrating the day. And to me, that speaks volumes about what a terrific coordinator, and person, Carna is.

I truly believe that without Carna by my side at our rehearsal and on our wedding day, we would not have enjoyed our wedding to the extent that we did. We are so grateful to you, Carna, for all you did to make our wedding so perfect.

I met Carna Lapping about six weeks before the big day. V.I.E. stepped in and organized all of the details, contacted all of our vendors, and fielded questions from our family and friends. I even think that at one point, Carna was so involved with the planning that she was beginning to read my mind! Carna’s attention to detail and incredible organization kept everything (and everyone) in line. She did a flawless job of making sure our wedding day was perfect.

Mother and Father of the Bride: From picking up the bride’s and bridesmaids’ dresses, to delivering lunches, to smoothing out all the church details, to transporting countless items to the reception (without forgetting a thing), to making special arrangements for our Persian ceremony, and to the very end of the night when she was on her knees looking under tables for the shoes I’d kicked off, Carna Lapping was wonderful. I heard that she even waded into a fountain to retrieve sunglasses one of the groomsmen had dropped. That was definitely beyond the call of duty!

Probably the best piece of advice anyone ever gave us was to hire a wedding coordinator for our big day. Carna Lapping was amazing! We hired her about 9 months before our wedding and we had most of our major decisions made already (venues, DJ, florist). She really helped us tie everything together and lifted a heavy weight off our shoulders. Carna is so organized and her knowledge and expertise about weddings was invaluable. It's amazing how many details are involved with throwing a wedding, it was so nice not to have to worry about any of them the day of. We really just sat back and let Very Important Events run the show. All we had to do was show up and enjoy our family and friends!
